The Beer Mile: 4 laps, 4 beers.
We will run multiple races early in the day (between 1 and 3 pm) so you can then enjoy the rest of RECESS.
The Beer Mile is for everyone - every age group (over 21), men and women, competitive or just for fun.
The Beer Mile has been run by over 114,000 people in over 7,000 races worldwide. This is Vermont's first running of the beer mile since 2011.
Rules are pretty simple:
-Each competitor drinks four cans of beer and runs four laps (start - beer, then lap, then beer, then lap, then beer, then lap - finish).
-Beer must be consumed before the lap is begun, within the transition area which i the 10 meter zone before the start/finish line on a 400m track.
-The race begins with the drinking of the first beer int he last meter of the transition zone to ensure the competitor run a complete mile.
-Beer cans must not be tampered with in any manner, ie. no shotgunning or puncturing of the can except for opening the can by the tab at the top.
-Each beer can must not be opened until the competitor enters the transition zone on each lap.
-Competitors who vomit before they finish the race must complete one penalty lap at the end of the race (immediately after the completion of their 4th lap). Note: Vomiting more than once during the race still requires only one penalty lap at the end.
-It is strongly recommended, when attempting official records, to tip the empty beer can or bottle over your head at the end of a chug to verify an empty vessel.

National Championship info here:

Teams of two will compete in a bracketed tournament.
Each court will be 8' wide and 40' long. The boards are placed 27' apart (front edge to front edge)
Scoring: 1 point for a Woody - the bag comes to rest on the board. 3 points for a corn hole - the bag passes through the hole.
We will use cancellation scoring, so only one team scores per frame - more on that in the official rules
The official ACO rules are here - we won't be that strict with the details, but in general, here they are:

Disc Golf:
We will have several holes set up for disc golf - bring your own discs or we'll have some for you to use.
